Dear Students & Parents,

Welcome to fifth grade! I am very excited to have you in my class this year and I hope you all are excited to begin fifth grade. My goal is to make this coming year a fun, interesting, and enjoyable year of learning for each and every one of you. Throughout the year, we will strengthen and expand our skills as readers, and writers, as well as tackle new concepts and challenges in all academic areas. I am counting down the days until I get to meet all of you, and the first day of school is coming up on September 2nd!

To properly prepare for fifth grade, please make sure to purchase the list of school supplies found on the class website. In addition, remember to complete your summer readings, as they will be due the first week of school! Curriculum will start the first full week of school, so parents please make sure that your child is ready to go with all of their school supplies.

I am excited to get started with you all on what is sure to be a productive and positive school year! Please remember to bring an open mind, a love for learning, and a positive attitude, and the willingness to work hard and try new things.
